Carlos Sandoval has been working on experimental particle physics since 2010, as part of the ATLAS collaboration at the LHC. He is a full time professor at the Physics Department of Universidad Nacional de Colombia and part-time at Universidad Antonio Nariño (Colombia).

Carlos graduated with a PhD in Hamburg University in 2009, where he worked on single hadron production in Deep Inelastic Scattering.

Since 2010 he has worked on different searches for beyond the Standard Model signatures, jet substructure, pile-up mitigation and trigger developments at the ATLAS experiment.

He is currently involved in projects for the phase-II upgrade of ATLAS, and is interested in Higgs boson measurements with LHC data.
