Dennis Cazar Ramírez PhD is a full time professor at Universidad San Francisco de Quito USFQ located in Quito- Ecuador since 2013, where Dennis teaches Physics and Electromagnetic Theory at Electric Engineering Department. He also coordinates a research group within the Laboratorio de Detección de Partículas y Radiación Leopard, aimed to develop cosmic ray detectors for both didactic and research purposes.

Dennis worked as research engineer for Ericsson Lab Italy developing high tech electronics for telecommunication systems, microwaves links in particular. Since 2013 when he entered the HEI world he participate in several research projects developing technology for cosmic ray detectors.

Dennis is coordinator of the Hardware development group in the LAGO Collaboration, and member of the BRIL subsystem within the CMS experiment at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider LHC.

Dennis is a ultra marathon runner and amateur photographer.
