Senior Professor at Universidad Industrial de Santander, Bucaramanga-Colombia (2010-present). Former senior professor (1979-2009) at Universidad de Los Andes, Mérida-Venezuela. Director of Information Technologies at the Universidad de los Andes (1995-2009) and Director of the Venezuelan National Center for Scientific Computing (CeCalCULA) from 1999-2009. Presently he is a member of Latin American Giant Observatory Collaboration ,the Pierre Auger Observatory Collaboration and actively participate in the Cooperación Latinoamericana de Redes Avanzadas (RedCLARA)
