Marco is an italian experimental particle physicist, junior Professor (Maître de Conférences) at Université de Paris and researcher at the Institut national de physique nucléaire et physique des particules IN2P3 since 2014.

He was undergraduate student at Università  degli Studi di Trieste. From the same university he graduated in 2007 with a PhD in physics analysing BaBar experiment data. He was post-doc at Università degli Studi di Trieste first (2007-2010) and then at Laboratoire de Physique Nucléaire de Hautes Énergies LPNHE (2010-2014).

In 2010 he joined the ATLAS collaboration at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). He has been working since then on silicon tracking detector development for the high luminosity phase of the LHC (HL-LHC).

He shares its time between research and teaching, in both cases enjoying spending time with students, putting their progress as top priority.
